About me

Julia, psychologist

My name is Julia. I am 35 years old and I offer thoughtful online psychological support.

I came to psychology not only through professional interest, but also through personal experience. I know what it can feel like to build a life in another country: the loneliness, uncertainty, and feeling of being far from everything familiar. I also understand the conflict of longing for closeness while being afraid of relationships, abandonment, or being left alone.

My work is not only theoretical. I understand how painful it can be to live with anxiety, fear, guilt, helplessness, and the feeling that something is “wrong” inside. I also know that healing is possible: returning to yourself, feeling safer in your body, accepting your emotional states, and gradually rediscovering self-love, energy, curiosity, and interest in life.

What we can work with

Excessive anxietyFear of abandonmentFear of losing stability or safetyA constant feeling of helplessnessThe sense that something bad is about to happenPersistent guiltThe thought that “something is wrong with me”Painful memories or past experiencesFear of future situationsEmotional exhaustion and loss of interest in life

EMDR therapy

One of the methods I use is EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is an evidence-based psychotherapeutic method that can help the brain process painful, traumatic, or emotionally overwhelming experiences.

EMDR is widely used internationally for traumatic memories, anxiety, depression, experiences of violence, and distressing emotional memories. It can help reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories, transform negative beliefs about yourself, and support a greater sense of safety and stability.

Is EMDR suitable for me?

EMDR may be suitable if memories, fears, emotional reactions, or patterns continue to affect your present life, even when you logically understand that the danger has passed.

It is not suitable for everyone in every condition. Before starting, we carefully discuss your current state, history, and needs to understand whether this method is appropriate and safe. In some situations, including an acute psychotic state, certain eye conditions, epilepsy, or when psychiatric care is needed first, another form of support may be more appropriate.

My approach

My work is based on respect, confidentiality, and careful attention to your individual story. I do not believe that people are “broken”. Many painful symptoms are understandable responses to experiences that were too difficult, lonely, or overwhelming to process at the time.

Therapy can be a space to gradually reconnect with yourself, understand your reactions, and build a more stable, compassionate relationship with your inner world. You do not have to carry everything alone. Together, we can work towards feeling calmer, safer, freer, and more alive.
